Lesson 4: Read

For those of you just tuning into the Friday posts, I read this article recently and thought it was an interesting read, I am going to share it with you slowly over the next 20 weeks so tune in every Friday for the next bit of advice and feel free to go back to catch up:

"Here are some lessons I've learned in the last 80 years. I hope to continue to practice them in the next 80...

4. Read all the time. Don't just do it because you're curious about something, read actively. Have a point of view before you start a book and see if what you think is confirmed or refused by the author. If you do that, you will read faster and comprehend more."

When I was a kid, I hated reading and my sister loved it. So if ever we got in trouble, my punishment would be that I had to read a book while I was grounded and my sister was not allowed to read at all when she was in trouble. Lucky for me things have changed and when I find a good story I can't put it down. There are lots of things out there to read and lots of reasons to read but for me, I use it as an escape. A place where I can go to unwind, relax, forget about work and stress and escape reality for a bit. What's your most recent favorite read?
