Inner peace can be reached only when we practice forgiveness. Forgiveness is letting go of the past, and is therefore the means for correcting our misperceptions. - Gerald Jampolsky
This quote really spoke to me this week so I wanted to share it with all of you because I figured I'm not the only one who needs a little reminder like this. On Wednesday as I was rushing to my yoga class after work, my mind was filled with things that had happened in the past (including things that happened that day)! One of the first things my instructor said was "leave anything that no longer serves you in a good way at the door." That's so true! What's the point of carrying emotional baggage with you into a yoga class (or with you at all for that matter!) because it will hinder you from living in the present and enjoying what is happening around you. The simple reminder from my instructor was all I needed to let go of things I had been holding onto so I could deepen my practice and be mindfully and fully engaged in class. FORGIVE AND LET IT GO.
