Happy National Running Day!

In addition to my love for yoga, I absolutely love to run! If you’re a Bostonian, take advantage of the sun (because it’s finally stopped raining!) and get out there to run. Declare your passion for running today by celebrating National Running Day with us!

National Running Day is celebrated every year on the first Wednesday in June, since 2009 and is sponsored by leading running associations across the industry in the U.S. Runners have the opportunity to celebrate the activity any way they choose – planning a run, spreading the running bug to a friend, signing up for a race, or setting a new goal.

All runners are encouraged to use the hashtag #NationalRunningDay on social media and fill in the sentence “I run ________.” Personally, “I run to relieve stress.” We talk a lot on the blog about our busy lives and the amount of stress we often face at work. I have been able to find peace and relaxation while running, which is why it has become a part of my daily routine.
