Office Yoga

I think it’s safe to say that many of you out there in the corporate world find yourself sitting and staring at your computer screen on a daily basis, which may be the cause of those little kinks you get in your neck throughout the day. While sitting on a big yoga ball instead of a desk chair may actually help fix this issue, it’s completely understandable that a big yoga ball in a corporate office is simply unprofessional and unacceptable.

Wouldn’t it be great if there were a few simple, discrete poses you could do throughout the day while sitting at your desk? There is! An article posted by the Huffington Post provides five yoga poses that can be done right from your desk chair. The best part? Your co-workers won’t even notice you’re doing yoga!

For photos and a description of these poses, check out the Huffington Post link (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/meredith-nordhem/office-yoga-poses_b_5604195.html), but if you’re generally familiar with “yogi references,” give these a try right now!

  • Seated Backbend

  • Seated Twist

  • Wrist Release

  • Desk Shoulder Opener

  • Forward Fold
